EUVOLIA Classroom: Grand Opening On Air!
On Tuesday, February 19, our brand new EUVOLIA classroom has opened its doors for the first time to welcome our honorable guests – a group of EUVOLIA students and the Vice-Rector in Scientific and Academic Affairs Dr. Yurii Kaganov. After a short speech, the red ribbon was finally cut to mark the next stage of EUVOLIA lifecycle. From now on, we have a permanent place to hold a meeting, a class or a training, to store EUVOLIA books and files and just to feel ourselves at home.
More details from the Grand Opening available here.
We’re Famous! Regional Media Reports on EUVOLIA
“ZNU would involve students of Natural Sciences into decoding fiction”, – writes Anna Chupryna in one of the biggest regional media, “MIG” newspaper. And she’s totally right, for this is exactly what we’re going to do within the frames of EUVOLIA project!

EUVOLIA Course Launched!
On January 29, 2019 first group of EUVOLIA course participants gathered together at ZNU European Studies Hall to meet EUVOLIA teachers and get to know each other better. Since teamwork is one of the main priorities of the course, the introductory part was devoted to networking. Both students and teachers took part in various team building activities to bridge the gap between the faculties and to work out simple teamwork rules to be applied when working upon the group projects. So here’s what we’ve got:
- Set a clear and understandable goal; make sure each team member understands it.
- Get to know your team: delegate responsibilities with regard to individual skills and talents.
- Develop a sense of property: share failures as well as success.
- Look for a good leader and respect your choice.
- Plan your work together and respect the deadlines as soon as they are established.
- Make sure decision making process is fair and transparent.
- When discussing project matters, try not to force your will on others. Reach out for compromise for as long as needed to make sure everyone accepts the final decision.
- Lend a shoulder to each other when necessary.
- Split your big goal into smaller ones not to lose the feeling of progress. Mark each step towards your final aim.
- Have fun and share funny moments to make your project a great personal experience!
EUVOLIA Classroom: Equipment Installed!
Pssst… EUVOLIA team members only: our equipment (an interactive board, a projector and a desktop) has just been installed! Many thanks to European Commission, EACEA and Erasmus+ Jean Monnet program that make our dreams come true! So, buckle up for a Grand Opening next week – and see you on Tuesday in our brand new EUVOLIA classroom!
Meet EUVOLIA Students!
To get to know our students better and to deliver the course meeting their expectations, we initiated a small welcome survey and would like to share the results with you.
Looks like teachers are the best source of knowledge even in a digital era: 91,7% of our students mentioned them as a primary source of information about EUVOLIA.
All of our students seem to be highly motivated: 50% enrolled for the course to broaden their outlook; 25% would like to learn more about European culture and values; 16,7% are going to conduct a research project in the field of European Studies; and 8,5% enjoy reading and discussing books.
In terms of results expected, 41,7% consider gaining practically applicable knowledge of European values as their top priority; 25% would like to master the axiological analysis procedures to decode the messages of modern cultural products; 16,7% would be happy to practice their teamwork and project management skills; and equal share – 8,3% per category – would like to enhance their rhetorical skills and digital competencies.
What is also important, we’re lucky to get an experienced audience: 66,7 of our students claim to have general understanding of European values; 25% know the subject in details; and 8,3% are real professionals!
We thank all the participants of our survey and would do our best to make this course an unforgettable experience for all of us 🙂

Gillette’s Ad on Toxic Masculinity Gets Everyone Hyped Up
Gillette’s impressive shift from “the best a man can get” to “the best men can be” in their new ad has caused a real storm on social media. While many praise the shaving company for raising such important issues as sexism and social violence, the others claim to boycott Gillette’s products due to the ad’s “pathetic global assault on masculinity”.
How do you feel about that? Watch the ad and share your thoughts on EUVOLIA Facebook!
